Wow I can hardly believe I’ve made over quarter of a million dollars sitting in the front seat of my car !
How did I do this?
Am I the world’s most expensive uber driver?
Maybe I’m an exclusive getaway driver?
Well, the simple answer is, sales videos. As you probably know I’ve made a couple of sales videos sitting in my car such as Affiliate Formula X.
And as you may know from previous newsletters – its called “Pattern Interrupt”
Well the time has come to sell my trusty range Rover Evoque. I’m planning to upgrade to an electric car, a Tesla model S.
I will miss my Range Rover, however, as it’s been an incredibly reliable car and great fun to drive. Also, as it’s been my first ever car I will be sorry to see it go.
I’ve never actually sold a car before so I wasn’t sure how to go about it.
I came to the conclusion that the best thing I could do was take lots of photos and also make a sales video!!
If you’re interested in buying my car you can view it on
Anyone who buys my car I would be happy to throw in some free coaching as an extra bonus!!!
I think we over ordered again!
I just love Indian food, I enjoy cooking it and I also enjoy going out to Indian restaurants.
However, it can be quite hard to find Indian restaurants that serve good food!!
One trick is to see if a menu has any special order items on it. My local Indian restaurant round the corner has such items on it.
One was a leg of lamb. The menu stated you needed to give at least 24 hours notice.
Ok, so I had to give this a try.
I phoned up the restaurant and ordered a leg of lamb, they seemed a little bit surprised, I guess not very many people order this!!
We turned up to the restaurant and there was a table reserved for us. The waiters wheeled out this leg of lamb on a trolley and everybody in the restaurant turned round to look!
Wow, the meat was falling off the bone. We had a fantastic meal but we definitely over ordered!!
We took the rest of it home. So far we’ve had sandwiches, and I have also made lamb curry out of the remains.
It was actually incredibly cheap for what it was. It cost £50 for the leg of lamb, however this probably would’ve been enough to feed at least four or five people.
So if a group of people want to go out to an Indian restaurant this would definitely be worth considering….
Where do high ticket sales come from?
A lot of my success has come down to one thing, and that is video marketing of some sort.
Getting affiliate review videos ranked in Google
making sales videos, sometimes in my car!
Outsourcing video production
In fact most of my high ticket sales, $2000-$10,000 come as a direct result of somebody seeing a video on YouTube!
Because of this, I have decided to produce a brand-new course teaching everything I know about how I make money with video marketing.

Infusionsoft Mastery by Troy A. Broussard
This is a book that was recommended to me on the Internet marketers cruise. If you’re in Infusionsoft user this is a definite “must-read”.
It Is not really a technical manual it’s more of a book on sales strategy and behavioural marketing.
I bought both the paper book and the Kindle book.
Some books don’t have an audible version, audible is an audiobook service.
However I do have a Kindle which has a text to speech function. This is a function that was discontinued due to writers objecting. I guess they wanted an extra fee if a machine was reading out the text????
Anyway the Kindle DX (currently discontinued and was only available in the USA) has this feature.
If you want to get one you have to get one on eBay, that’s where I got mine.
Whenever I go on a long car journey I set my Kindle to text-to-speech and get it to read the book to me and that’s exactly what I did with Infusionsoft Mastery!
Last night I watched a fantastic film called Imperium. This is a story about a young FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a white supremacist group that’s plotting to build a nuclear device.
The interesting thing about this film was, it was all about how to influence people.
One scene which I found interesting was, when the FBI agent was getting advice from a colleague, the colleague told him that the only training he needed when working undercover was in this book.
“How to Win Friends and Influence People”!
The great thing about this film is he actually uses his brain to get out of tough situations rather than just running around with a gun!!
A great suspense thriller.
All the best,
Very few people realise that it can be very profitable to promote affiliate products on public holidays.
I’ve always had tremendous success promoting products on Christmas day and New Year’s Day.
In fact I promoted one of my webinars a couple weeks ago on Thanksgiving. I must have had over a hundred emails from people asking me why I was promoting such an event on Thanksgiving.
Well as it turns out it was one of my most successful webinars to date and I had over 200 American attendees?? (And the conversion rate was good as well !)
This all started in 2009 when I promoted a high-end $2000 affiliate product on New Year’s Day. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to sell any products especially at that price.
This was a $2000 home study course that was shipped out to the clients, it was actually a ClickBank product believe it or not.
Anyway I ended up selling three, which gave me an affiliate commission of around $3000.
A $3000 New Year bonus….
Ever since then I’ve always promoted products on public holidays and done very well. It’s a great time to promote as other marketers don’t seem to send out emails on public holidays? So you end up with the market to yourself!
And think about the buyer psychology, people aren’t at work and are sitting around the house getting bored, and probably looking for an excuse to get away from annoying friends, relatives, and neighbours – not to mention the kids !!
So if you’re looking to make a little extra cash this year at Christmas I strongly advise promoting affiliate products on Christmas Day, Boxing Day (that’s the day after Christmas), and New Year’s Day.
Want to meet up in New York on Monday?
On Sunday I’m flying to New York. I’ll only be there a day as I just need to sign some papers at the bank. Anyway I be in Manhattan all day Monday the 15th. If you want to meet up for lunch or something reply to this email.
Moving out of London
Two weeks ago I finally moved out of London into my new office on the south coast of England. I’m actually within walking distance of the beach!!
(Great for summer – not so good in winter !)
I love sitting in my new office looking out of the window at the view and watching the seagulls fly past.
One major difference that I have noticed is that everybody is so polite, especially when you go into a shop. The other thing is it’s so quiet, no traffic, no police sirens all day and all night, and no pollution….
I’m thinking about doing a south coast meet up once a month if you’re interested reply to this email, let me know if you have any locations in mind….
(Anywhere from Brighton to Southampton)
The London Meetup is back
As some of you may know I used to run a monthly meet up in central London. Well as of January I’m going to be starting the London meet up again.
The format is, a one-hour presentation by me -which is always pure content – and then the rest of the evening is networking.
Currently looking for a venue somewhere in central London which can hold between 60 and hundred people if you know of anywhere please reply to this email let me know.
Replace your Job?
You may wonder how I got started online and what was the real secret to my success?
Well it was all down to three action points I wrote down on a piece of paper at a live networking event.
I’ve made a short video explaining exactly what happened

Catch Me If You Can
all the best,
Over the years as my business has grown I have continuously needed to upgrade the software and services that I use.
These mainly fall into three categories.
- Website hosting
- email auto responder service
- shopping cart software
Probably one of the hardest things to upgrade is your email auto responder service and shopping cart software. It’s a huge logistical nightmare of a job to move to a new shopping cart simply because you need to move all of your content and affiliate’s and links over to the new service.
Last month I made the decision to move to a new service called Infusionsoft. This is a big move for me as it involves a lot of work moving all my content over to the new service but also quite a lot of training to learn how to use this incredibly powerful new piece of software .
Basically infusionsoft is a shopping cart, auto responder and tracking device all built into one.
You can set up all sorts of ”if this, then…” rules based on what people have clicked on and what purchases they have made.
The thing I really like about infusionsoft is they are not a fly-by-night sort of company and have recently had a huge amount of investment to support their large and growing user base. In the past I’ve signed up to software platforms that have been underinvested and although they have not gone out of business they did not update with the times.
Infusionsoft seems to have updates every couple of weeks and there are all sorts of third-party plug-ins and add-ons created by third-party developers. They even have their own annual seminar called infusioncon!!!
Currently I am using the shopping cart system called Nanacast.com – although Nanacast does have good functionality they have not updated the software in the last two years and the user interface is looking incredibly dated.
They also have a huge amount of server downtime. There is nothing worse than sending an email out advertising a new product and no one can purchase because your shopping carts servers are down!!!
Last year I decided to move from Nanacast to Office Autopilot as some of you may have noticed. However I was only ever able to move my auto-responder over as Office Autopilot did not support UK merchant accounts – mainly worldpay??
So I ended up with a very expensive auto-responder and a separate shopping cart system.
So my intention with Infusionsoft is to move everything over and have everything in one place. This will also save me around half the amount of money that I’m currently spending with Office Autopilot and Nanacast.
Now before you all email me asking if you should be signing up to Infusionsoft…
Personally I think Infusionsoft is an overkill for most people. The only reason I’m using Infusionsoft is because I am a product vendor. If you have your own products and an email list then Infusionsoft is definitely worth investing in.
However if you just want to have an email list and don’t intend to sell your products then just stick with a regular auto responder service like AWebber or GetResponse.
Anyway I’ll let you know how I get on with switching over to Infusionsoft in the next couple of weeks.
A Very Hard week
Last Friday my father passed away, after a long battle with a brain tumour. My father achieved a huge amount during his life.
Robert was a violinist in the Covent Garden Royal Opera house. He then studied in Russia to become a conductor.
Like many of you, this was quite a major career change and more than a few people thought he was crazy for doing it, but he stuck with it and built quite a successful career at it.
His moment of genius though came when he identified a gap in the market for really good books that music teachers could use to teach children to play the violin – properly. And also in such a way that kids could actually enjoy themselves and see (hear!) themselves making progress.
He wrote the books, got the graphics done, wrote the practice pieces and so forth.. and then self published them. The books were an immediate success and sold out!!! And have been re-printed many times.…
And that’s quite a legacy to leave behind, generations of children playing the violin well, and enjoying it.
And I think there’s a moral there… If you really believe in something… DO IT !!
Optimised press 2
One of the tools I’ve used in my business for a number of years has been something called Optimizepress
It’s a plug-in for WordPress that makes creating squeeze pages and sales pages an absolute breeze. It’s one of those tools I could never live without and as an Internet marketer it’s definitely something to have in your toolkit.
A few weeks back Optimizepress 2 was released. This is a massive upgrade to the original WordPress plug-in. I immediately upgraded and was completely blown away. It’s so much easier to use and as well as creating sales pages and squeeze pages you can now create full-blown membership sites using this incredible software.
Go check out yourself,
And don’t forget I am offering an incredible bonus to anyone who purchases Optimizepress 2
